East End Well Shut Off Due To Sand

WPSCO reported today that the city’s East End well was shut off today due to sand intrusion. The city will be operating on two wells. All customers will have service, but could experience low pressure, particularly on the east end of town. Repairs will begin by May 26.

Voting today is only for Ward 4 alderman — there is a primary among the Republican candidates for alderman: Huey Bang and Susan Holiman.
Polls are open until 7 p.m. The polling place for Ward 4 is at the North Street fire station, across from Pass Christian High School.
