Real Estate Professionals Receive Allocation from BP Fund

Jackson, MS - The claims administrator of the British Petroleum Gulf Coast Claims Facility (GCCF) has announced a special allocation from the fund for licensed real estate professionals in the Gulf Coast region, including Mississippi. Along with other local businesses, real estate brokers and agents along the Gulf Coast have experienced significant economic harm since the Deepwater Horizon oil spill. (more…)

BILOXI, Miss. - The Mississippi Department of Marine Resources (MDMR) and the Mississippi Department of Environmental Quality (MDEQ), in coordination with the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) and the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA), have ordered the reopening of all Mississippi territorial waters, including those south of the barrier islands, to all commercial and recreational blue crab fishing activities that were part of the precautionary oil spill closures. Kenneth Feinberg, Administrator of the Gulf Coast Claims Facility, will hold three town halls in Mississippi on Monday, August 23rd in Hancock, Harrison & Jackson Counties. Each site will also have people from the GCCF assisting Mississippians file their claims, and answer specific questions.
All events are open to the public.
